2008 brought major growth to groSolar including warehouse expansions in Colorado, New York and Massachusetts and the installation of a 1.2 mW photovoltaic system in Vacaville, CA.  groSolar also became the exclusive North American distributor of Motech Inverters and PanelClaw flat roof mounting system.

groSolar completes the Boston Red Sox Solar Hot Water (SHW) installation at Fenway Park.  28 Heliodyne SHW collectors and four 400-gallon storage tanks are tied to Fenway’s existing water system. The SHW supplies the park and the restaurants on the lower levels of Fenway, and is expected to reduce the park’s annual carbon dioxide emissions by roughly 18 tons.

groSolar announces the acquisition of Chesapeake Solar, a leading installer of solar energy systems in the Mid-Atlantic region.  The acquisition positions groSolar as one of the nation's largest solar energy installers and extends the company's reach, enabling groSolar to install more solar solutions on even more homes and businesses. 

groSolar installs a 1.1 mW solar tracking array at Mariani Packing Company in Vacaville, CA. This becomes groSolar's largest single site installation to date. See the Case Study.
