In Wisconsin, rural co-ops powering state’s solar growth
groSolar is pleased to be mentioned in the recent Midwest Energy News article titled, "In Wisconsin, rural co-ops powering state's solar growth." The article discusses Dairyland Power Cooperative's planned 15 megawatts of solar development in 2016. groSolar is pleased to be developing 2.5 megawatts of this project in Philips, Wisconsin. groSolar's project, on behalf of the Dairyland Power Cooperative, will deliver ~5,000 megawatts of clean energy to the region; that's enough electricity to power 470 homes! The project's environmental benefits are also significant. The project's CO2 offset is equivalent to planting over 83,000 trees annually or taking 682 cars off the road. This project will also be utilizing unique panel technology that allows solar panels to slowly move with the angle of the sun; this increases our project's energy production by 15%.
