Our History
groSolar was founded by engineering husband and wife team Jeff and Dori Wolfe in Vermont in 1998. Starting with residential solar projects, groSolar made a mark with sound engineering abilities, timely construction, and responsive customer service. Over the following decade we expanded from our Vermont origins to provide residential solar solutions in more than ten East Coast states and California, as well as providing distribution services for dealers nationwide. In 2008, we designed and constructed our first 1MW+ commercial solar project, a single-axis tracker in northern California.
In 2010, groSolar made the decision to sell our residential division and focus on commercial and utility-scale projects, while still offering distribution and procurement services to dealers throughout the country.
We have designed and constructed commerical and utility scale solar projects in Vermont, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, North Carolina, Connecticut, Indiana, and California for a variety of clients and owners. Proposed projects are planned in these and other states, ranging in size up to 30MW. Today, the solar industry continues to experience substantial change and growth, and groSolar remains stronger than ever as a leader in the solar industry.
