Statement by Jamie Resor, CEO of groSolar

(Okalhoma City, OK - July 27, 2015) - groSolar is proud to be a part of bringing community solar to Oklahoma with our partners at Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E). We’ve built projects all over the nation and Oklahoma stands out as a state with some of the best solar resources we’ve seen. It has enormous solar generation potential. For more than 15 years, groSolar has developed, engineered, and built high quality solar projects, including our latest award-winning project, Stafford Hill in Vermont. Our team of engineers, project managers and others have worked diligently on the Community Solar project at the Mustang Plant and we expect top results. We take a lot of pride in the clean, renewable, affordable generation we’re building for the people of Oklahoma and we look forward to the potential for more such projects in the state.

Background information

groSolar engineered, designed and constructed the solar farms at the Mustang Power Plant, which consist of two distinct arrays. One is a 2MW (AC) ground-mounted system that uses NexTracker single axis self-powered tracker and consists of 7,776 Trina Solar Multicrystalline 310 watt panels with Solectria string inverters.  The other is a 500KW(AC) ground-mounted system.  The two solar arrays will produce more than 5,000 mWh or electricity a year, enough to power approximately 600 homes.
