groSolar congratulates Al Gore and the IPCC on being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. This award highlights the importance of groSolar's mission, to fight the climate crisis. While we have long said that solar energy will not only create jobs, energy independence, and security, this award highlights what we have also known. The broad solution of the climate crisis is necessary for world peace. Climate change will create many sharp imbalances, causing mass migration, famines, resource struggles, and therefore wars. As we have seen, while these wars may not take place on US soil, we are often deeply involved with troops and funds. Solar energy is an important component of fighting global warming and climate change.
As a Climate Presenter personally trained by Al Gore, I know that one cannot underestimate his non-partisan commitment and passion for driving climate change solutions. This is a drive and passion that each and every groSolar employee brings to their work. Each groSolar employee, and each person involved in renewable energy, in some way shares this Peace Prize with the IPCC and Al Gore.

I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. This award is even more meaningful because I have the honor of sharing it with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change--the worlds pre-eminent scientific body devoted to improving our understanding of the climate crisis--a group whose members have worked tirelessly and selflessly for many years. We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity. It is also our greatest opportunity to lift global consciousness to a higher level.
My wife, Tipper, and I will donate 100 percent of the proceeds of the award to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a bipartisan non-profit organization that is devoted to changing public opinion in the U.S. and around the world about the urgency of solving the climate crisis.
