Jeff Wolfe Steps Down, COO/CFO Jamie Resor Assumes CEO Role

White River Junction, VT (May 1, 2012) – groSolar Co-Founder Jeff Wolfe announced his decision to step down as CEO after placing the company in a strong position and establishing it as a national leader in the solar industry.  Jamie Resor, who has served as COO and CFO since 2007, succeeds Jeff as the company’s new CEO.  Wolfe has assumed the role of Non-Executive Chairman of groSolar’s Board of Directors and will continue to play an active and vital role in the continued growth of the solar industry.

“After founding groSolar in 1998 and leading it as CEO since, the company is in a great position, financially and operationally, for me to transition from my role as CEO to a continued role as Non-Executive Board Chairman,” said Wolfe.  “After a short break, I look forward to my continued involvement with the company through the Board.  I will continue in my role as Chair of the PV Division of SEIA, working on the important policy work which remains."

Wolfe continued by saying, “Jamie and the rest of the management team have my complete confidence in their ability to continue groSolar’s success. They are a seasoned team with deep knowledge and billions of dollars of experience in the solar industry and the construction industry. I look forward to working with Jamie in my new role.”

groSolar has become one of the nation’s biggest and most reputable players in today’s large commercial and utility-scale solar PV space. The company provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for large commercial and utility scale solar PV projects, as well as procurement and logistics services for a nationwide channel of solar dealers, installers, and contractors.  The company has completed large EPC projects along the East Coast from North Carolina to Vermont as well as in California.  groSolar is financially strong and continues to grow with a healthy project pipeline.

“Jeff has a lot to be proud of. He has built this company from the ground up, which has evolved into an industry-leading firm with a quality reputation, specifically when taking on commercial solar PV projects on challenging sites,” said Resor. “Not only does groSolar have a great history, but so does the solar PV industry as a whole, thanks in part to Jeff’s accomplishments. We are sorry to see Jeff step down as CEO and I realize I have some big shoes to fill, but I look forward to continuing groSolar’s position as an industry leader.”
