Janice Jackson from Roxbury, Massachusetts had a photovoltaic system installed on her house by the company groSolar. The system is a 2.28kw system the helps to significantly cut Janice’s electric bill. Janice heard about groSolar from her neighbor who also had groSolar install a system for them. Janice lives in a close community in Roxbury, Massachusetts where a number of community members decided that going solar would be a good way to lessen their impact on the environment, and a good way to save money. To get help financing her system Janice went to SunRun. With the SunRun program Janice just pays for the power her solar electric system generates on a monthly basis, effectively switching her power company to the sun. The plus side to this program is that the rate that she pays is less than that normal utility bill, and the rate will never go up because it is a fixed rate. Janice is very pleased with the work groSolar did on her home and is very happy to have a much smaller electric bill.
