groSolar Announces Aggressive Training Schedule For Solar Installers

Training seminars to occur in Florida, California, and Massachusetts

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT (March 19, 2009)– groSolar, the nation’s premier provider of solar energy solutions and the fourth largest installer of residential solar systems in North America, today announced it will host a series of training seminars for residential solar dealers and installers.
A Heliodyne solar hot water training seminar will take place on April 2-3, 2009 at the Holiday Inn in Brockton, MA. The seminar will feature presentations by Noah Tuthill, groSolar Solar System Design Integrator, and Fady Ghobrial of the Heliodyne Solar Project. Participants will have the opportunity to learn all about solar hot water systems, with instruction covering functional operation to complete installation. This is a hands-on training that will provide installers with the tools and information to successfully install a groSolar hot water system.
A residential photovoltaic (PV) installation training seminar will be held April 2-4, 2009 at the Atrium Hotel in Irvine, CA. groSolar technical services manager Wes Kennedy, an NABCEP-certified energy practitioner, will guide participants through the intricacies of installing a photovoltaic system with instruction covering the spectrum of basic system operation through the installation process, codes and completion.
A second offering of groSolar’s residential PV installation training will take place on May 13-15, 2009 in Gainsville, FL at the Homewood Suites by Hilton, where Kennedy will also be the presenter.
The Vermont-based company’s newly expanded dealer training schedule comes after groSolar’s acquisition of the residential solar division of Borrego Solar Systems of El Cajon, Calif.
“This is a great chance for solar installers to advance their careers and benefit from groSolar’s leading presence in the renewable energy marketplace,” said Kennedy. “Installers have a terrific professional development opportunity to leverage by taking part in these sessions. Unlike many offerings, these trainings focus on specific skills and knowledge needed to get a residential grid tie PV system up and running. This coursework is appropriate for those currently installing solar, and those in other construction trades looking to expand their skillsets and take advantage of the increased interest in residential solar installation nationwide.”
