Chesapeake Solar, a groSolar Company Opens New Operations Center in Howard County |
JESSUP, MD (January 23, 2009)--- A leading Maryland solar energy company is moving to take advantage of the Obama administration’s bold promises on solar energy. Chesapeake Solar, a groSolar company, announced this week that they will be expanding their office space and adding an operations/distribution center in Howard County. The 13,337 square-foot space will extend Chesapeake Solar’s current solar installation services for residential and commercial clients and introduce distribution capacity to the Jessup-based office. Richard Deutschmann, vice president of the mid-Atlantic region for groSolar, says the new location means more green jobs and economic development for Maryland. “Our new operations center allows us to reach growing markets in the southeastern US, and provide a greater level of services to clients in our core mid-Atlantic region,” said Deutschmann. “With the new focus on clean renewable energy from our new president, as well as expanding state programs that incentivize solar energy, the time was right for us to move forward. “We are excited to be at the leading edge of the new green economy. Solar energy offers a solution for global climate change and other pressing environmental issues, and it keeps our energy dollars right here in Maryland to help us turn our economy around.” About groSolar # # # |
